Orange Côte d’Ivoire has introduced Orange Sat, a satellite-based internet service aimed at improving connectivity across the country, particularly in remote and underserved areas beyond the reach of existing 4G and fibre networks.

The new solution is part of the company’s broader digital inclusion strategy and targets so-called “white areas” where traditional infrastructure is difficult or costly to deploy. By using satellite technology, Orange Sat provides stable, high-speed internet access to households, businesses, schools, health centres and public institutions, regardless of location.

Orange Sat was developed through a strategic partnership with satellite operator Eutelsat and is designed to complement Orange Côte d’Ivoire’s existing mobile and fibre broadband services. The satellite option strengthens the operator’s ability to deliver nationwide coverage while adapting to Côte d’Ivoire’s varied geography, including rural, coastal and hard-to-reach inland regions.

Beyond connectivity, the initiative is expected to support economic growth by enabling digital entrepreneurship, improving access to online education and telemedicine, and enhancing digital public services such as e-government platforms. It also aims to accelerate digital literacy and the adoption of new technologies within local communities.

With the launch of Orange Sat, Orange Côte d’Ivoire reinforces its commitment to inclusive digital transformation, positioning connectivity as a key driver of social development and ensuring that even the most isolated regions are integrated into the country’s digital future.
