The upcoming conference, scheduled to take place on November 10 to 12 in Kigali, is expected to attract commandants, senior officers, and defence education experts representing various African nations under the theme “The Future of African Military Training and Education: Bridging the Digital Divide.”

The discussions will focus on enhancing curriculum harmonization among military colleges, promoting joint research, and fostering partnerships that support Africa’s collective security agenda. Participants are also expected to explore ways of integrating emerging technologies and modern warfare dynamics into military education.

Rwanda’s participation and hosting role further highlight its commitment to building resilient security systems across Africa and deepening collaboration among defence academies.

The conference is anticipated to conclude with a set of resolutions aimed at advancing military education standards and enhancing cooperation among African defence institutions.
