Macron is expected to co-host the summit alongside William Ruto, marking a significant diplomatic engagement aimed at strengthening relations between African nations and France.
The French president was received upon arrival by Musalia Mudavadi, Kenya’s Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs.
Kenyan officials said the summit will bring together heads of state, policymakers, business leaders, and development partners to discuss key issues, including trade, infrastructure investment, climate action, security cooperation, innovation, and youth employment.
The meeting comes as France seeks to reinforce its diplomatic and economic ties across Africa amid increasing competition from global powers seeking influence on the continent.
For Kenya, hosting the summit positions Nairobi as a growing diplomatic and economic hub in Africa while highlighting the country’s expanding role in regional and international affairs.
Further details on bilateral meetings and summit outcomes are expected following the official opening sessions on Monday.
